SUBJECT and PREDICATE

When we make a sentence, we must follow the following steps:
  1. We name some person or thing: and
  2. We say something about that person or thing by using finite verb . In other word we must say something about that subject, and we must use a finite verb to discribe the action or state of the subject. So, every sentence has two part:
  1. The part with names the person or thing we are talking about. This is called the subject of sentence.
  2. The part which tells something about the subject. This called the Predicate of the sentence.

SENTENCE

When we speak or write, we generally use words in groups;as

1. We are English students.
2. Fadhil studies Engliish.
3. She Looks Very happy.
4. they are ....

Each group of words like this, which contains a subject + a predicate with a finite verb, is called a SENTENCE. so, the sentence is a group of words containing a subject plus predicate with a finite verb.
